The Fatah party, headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, has made official what it has been saying?quietly and has adopted?a new logo showing all of Israel as Palestine.
Abbas with map of ?Palestine? in background ? Israel news photo: Flash 90
The logo marks the 48th anniversary of the founding of Fatah by Yasser Arafat and includes a map with the PA flag and a map of Israel that appears to be a depiction of the black and white checkered kefiyah, a symbol of the violent intifada, and the slogan ?the state and victory.?
Palestine Media Watch (PMW)?revealed that the official PA daily published the new official logo.
For the past year, official PA documents have increasingly shown Palestine as covering all of Israel, but this is the first time the Fatah party has?placed the map on its logo.
PMW noted, ?Other symbols central to Fatah ideology also appear in the logo, including a rifle and a key symbolizing the Palestinian claim of ownership to houses within Israel.?
The Arab media watchdog translated and published the article announcing the new logo:
Embassy in Lima, Peru.
?
?Senior Fatah official in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Rabah, stressed that the movement this year will hold a big, central rally in the Gaza Strip on the day of the 48th anniversary of the beginning of the Palestinian revolution.
?Rabah explained to Ma?an that the event will be held considering the atmosphere of reconciliation and unity that has prevailed in the Palestinian arena in the last few?.
?The organizing committee for the 48th anniversary of the Fatah movement approved this year?s main anniversary logo? [The rally] will take place in Gaza to mark the 48th anniversary of the modern Palestinian revolution under the slogan ?the state and the victory.??
The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) reacted to the new logo by urging ?President Barack Obama, the European Union and the United Nations to condemn this outrage which reiterates the clear fact that Abbas and the Fatah/PA have no interest in peace with Israel, only its destruction.?
ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, ?This new Fatah logo graphically depicts the ugly truth about this unreconstructed terrorist organization whose Constitution to this day calls for the destruction of Israel (Article 13) and the use of terrorism as an essential element in the struggle to achieve this aim (Article 19). ?It belies the fiction that Mahmoud Abbas is a ?moderate? who seeks peace with Israel, and who wishes to end Palestinian terrorism against Israeli Jews. It also makes clear that the principles of Yasser Arafat are respected and promoted.
?The new Fatah logo is not an aberration. The Palestinian Authority continues to promote the incitement of hatred in Palestinian mosques, schools and media.
?The ZOA renews its call upon the Obama Administration to stop wasting hundreds of millions of dollars on the unreformed terrorist entity that is Fatah, to stop making excuses for Abbas, and to stop pressuring Israel to make dangerous concessions on the altar of appeasement.?

Big screen hunks Justin Timberlake and Hugh Jackman hit a high note together over a post-Christmas dinner? literally.
The actors, who?ve been known to sell out a crowd when they?ve taken over the microphone, were spotted having dinner at the ultra-exclusive Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Ski Resort and Spa in Avon, Colo. Dec. 27, an eyewitness told Celebuzz exclusively.
?I always like visiting better after Christmas,? said friend Marsha. ? After thinking about it, I do agree. ?The pressure is gone, and one can relax and enjoy being with ones you love. That is when Marsha invited me over for coffee, and I was beyond excited. ?I jumped at the invitation, and offered to bring some Hungarian Butterhorns. ?It is always a joy and a pleasure to visit Marsha. ?I call her my cheerleader. ?She encourages me, writes better comments than I do blogs, and promotes Lanabird. ?Words can not express how thankful I am to her.
Not only is she a totally wonderful person, she has a beyond wonderful home. ?I took pictures so you can visit also.
Be still my heart! ?For years I have admired English chimney pots, and look what greeted me at the front door. ?Filled with oversized ornaments, it is festive and fantastic.
The painted wardrobe from Germany is breathtaking. ?I like it. I love it. ?I do believe it is the prettiest one I have ever seen.
Beyond fantastic are the three wise men on her mantle. ?Marsha said she got them years ago at The Market at North Park. ?I love it that the camels are wearing the crowns.
Looking from her dining room into the den, you can get a sense of how beautiful her home is. ?Isn?t that the most gorgeous antique chandelier?
Be still my heart! ? ?The antique turkey platter takes my breath away. ?It was from Bob?s (Marsha?s husband) family. ? ?Most of the antiques in her home are family heirlooms.
Mercury glass, a mirrored tray, and glittery silver trees are beautiful on the sofa table.
Next to the sofa table is a darling little chair holding a lit tree. ?How cute is that!
I love, love, love, this blue and ?white platter filled with candy canes and red and white glass balls.
Gorgeous ? just gorgeous. ?Marsha had a beautiful antique bowl filled with large pine cones and silver stars.
Marsha and Bob added on a large room on the back of their home. ?It is perfect for entertaining. ?Love the leaded glass side windows (I know they have a name, but I do not know the name.)
Guarding the back door is the most adorable snowman in an antique cart. ?He was handmade by a lady in McKinney.
In several places in her home, Marsha used architectural pieces above mirrors, pictures, and doors. ?The details in her home are amazing.
In the living room there was another small lit tree. ?What a wonderful look.
Sweet Mother of Pearl. ?On the side table, is the happiest Holy Family I have ever seen. ?The smile on Mary and Baby Jesus make me smile. ?I know Joseph is smiling under his beard. ?This reminds me of Marsha. ?She is always happy and smiling. ?Marshachristmas is how she is known on the comment page, and I must say she is a gift to all who know her.
Honestly it was hard for me to leave because I kept seeing more and more unusual things. ?The little tree on the right with the fruit was Bob?s mothers ? probably from the 1940?s. ?I love it, and I love that they still have it.
Amazing! ?Marsha even has a Crawford biscuit tin.
Marsha and Bob are one of the most loved and respected couples I have ever known. ?Thank you for letting me share your home. ?I had such a good time visiting with you, and eating your delicious pimento cheese sandwiches. ?I know I missed many things. ?Your home is truly wonderful.
Public-housing and school policies, gang activity, access to guns, and budget cuts for social programs have all been cited as factors in Chicago?s homicide rate.
By Mark Guarino,?Staff writer / December 29, 2012
Young men walk past the barred window of a business in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The violence in 2012 ? 500 homicides in the city so far ? has gripped a handful of neighborhoods, including this one.

Rahm Emanuel?s first full year as Chicago mayor ends on a tragic note: The city marked its 500th homicide Thursday evening, making 2012 the deadliest year in the city since 2008.
Click Here for your FREE 30 DAYS of The Christian Science Monitor Weekly Digital Edition
Overall, Chicago homicides are at a historic low compared to decades past ? 928 in 1991, for example. But the last time Chicago homicides topped 500 was in 2008, when the number was 513. After that, murders had been falling. In 2011, there were 433 homicides.
Why homicide rates trend up or down is not easily explained by a single year, and it most certainly requires examining a series of complex factors including systemic unemployment, economic disenfranchisement, easy access to weapons, and ? specifically in Chicago ? the dismantling of public housing that started two decades ago and has coincided with the closings of public schools in distressed neighborhoods.
?The public-housing and school policies did a lot to undermine the fabric of marginalized communities on the South and West Sides of Chicago. That unraveling of the fabric continues to drive the desperation, the depression, the self-medication that contributes to a lot of this violence,? says Lance Williams, assistant director of the Jacob C. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
School closings in impoverished neighborhoods and the increased push for privately operated charter schools became a major issue of contention during the public-teacher strike in September. The Emanuel administration has long said that while facing a ballooning budget deficit, it can?t afford to operate so many schools, especially those where student populations are dwindling.
Homicides in Chicago attracted national media attention early this summer when 7-year-old Heaven Sutton became the city?s 251st fatality, killed by a random bullet while operating her front-lawn candy stand on the city?s West Side. Mayor Emanuel and police superintendent Garry McCarthy blamed the growing violence on neighborhood gang factions, which they say are responsible for 80 percent of the shootings.
Gang factions are small groups that have splintered from the monolithic, often historic, crime organizations that date back decades. As many as 600 factions exist today, the Chicago Police Department says. Moreover, Chicago has surpassed Los Angeles in total gang membership and activity, crime experts say.
-???????? NRA to Lobby Against Firearms Treaty: The United States? most powerful pro-gun group, the National Rifle Association (?NRA?) is vowing to contest a newly proposed international treaty aimed at regulating the $70B per year international firearms trade. While arms control has become a frontpage issue in the United States in the wake of the horrific shooting in Newtown, CT, it appears that the treaty would have little chance of success in the Senate, where pro-gun Senators have vowed to block the treaty.
-???????? World Watches as US Nears Fiscal Cliff: US taxpayers are in for a nasty surprise on January 1st unless the federal government can reach a deal to avoid a massive set of tax increases and defense spending cuts. As both sides start to divvy up blame, a deal appears increasingly less likely. US and world financial markets have become more jittery and dropped in recent days as the world braces for the impact a failed deal would have.
-???????? Germany Creates National Gun Registry: The German federal government now has a list of every legal gun owner in the country. Compiling information from many local and state registries, has painted a clearer picture of gun ownership within the country. There are roughly 5.5M legally registered guns in the country, along with roughly 1.4M gun owners ? approximately 4 guns per owner.? All EU countries are required to create such a registry by 2015.
-???????? Bermuda to Become Hub of Fixed Annuity Reinsurance?: At least one high-level fixed-income manager thinks so. However,? According to a report published in Bermuda?s Royal Gazette, Cliff Corso, CEO and chief investment officer of Cutwater Asset Management, predicts that the tiny island nation could play a big role in the fixed annuity reinsurance market. He noted:
?I think there?s a huge demand for reinsurance for fixed annuity life contracts?one of the greatest benefits, in terms of supply to Bermuda, is that, given the rate curve and where it sits today, and given the capital requirements of the insurers, there?s still a significant potential supply of reinsurance in fixed annuity life into Bermuda. There are already some players, but I think there will probably be more entrants coming to the Island to handle the potential demand for reinsurance. That?s our view, given the dynamics of the rate environment, and given the attractiveness of Bermuda as a place that is innovative and solution-oriented and that?s proven.
Bermuda has long been a center of offshore banking and insurance, but the country?s economy was hard hit by the worldwide economic crisis. Might Bermuda be poised to bounce back? Only time will tell, but a rejuvenated reinsurance market would certainly be a shot in the arm for both sectors.
CHICAGO --?You may be waiting to optimize your retirement portfolio, thinking that you should know what's going on in Washington and Europe before you act.
However, there are some changes you can set in motion right now that could make a big difference down the road regardless of what happens with the fiscal cliff, tax changes and Wall Street:
1. Boost your contribution rate The longer you wait to contribute, the greater return you will need to achieve your goals. Thanks to the compounding effect, the more your contribute, the more you can accumulate when dividends and appreciation are added.
Raise it as much as you can because even incremental changes make a huge difference over time. Let's say you're 35, make $75,000 annually and contribute 6 percent with a 100-percent employer match. You start with $50,000 in your account now. If you just bump your contribution rate to 7 percent, your balance in 30 years would rise from $1.6 million to nearly $1.8 million, according to 401kcalculator.org. In any case, you always want to take advantage of the employer match, because it's free money.
2. Align your allocation to your age Generally, the older you are, the more fixed-income you need -- roughly matching your bond or guaranteed investment contract portion to your age. Let's say you're 30 and you can afford to take market risk. You'd want 30 percent in bonds and 70 percent in stocks. A 60-year-old, conversely, would consider a 40 percent stocks, 60 percent fixed-income mix.
Target-date or "lifestyle" funds can do this for you, but you have to check their allocations the closer you get to retirement to see if you're comfortable with the stock mix. They are all slightly different.
3. Don't worry too much about taxes now, but have a tax plan in mind. While it's hard to tell what Congress will do with the fiscal cliff dilemma, no one has talked about eliminating the tax break for 401(k)-type plan contributions, which are not subject to federal taxes. You can contribute up to $17,500 in 2013; another $5,500 for those over 50 or for individual retirement accounts.
Concerned about taxes down the road? That's reasonable. Consider a contribution to a Roth IRA or Roth 401(k). The contributions are taxable, although the withdrawals are not if you hold money in these accounts for at least five years past age 59 ?.
4. Lower expenses to boost return Surprisingly, low-cost index funds accounted for only 30 percent of the assets in top-rated 401(k) plans surveyed by Brightscope for 2012. Every retirement plan should have index funds to cover U.S. and international stocks, bonds and real estate.
Here's what you can do if you don't already have that setup: You probably received a notice earlier this year detailing how much each investment option is costing you. If any of your individual funds cost more than 0.75 percent annually, you should pick a different one.
If you don't have enough options in your company plan, you can ask your employer to find cheaper index funds, which are available for as low as 0.06 percent annually. If you do this, you will easily boost your plan's performance without changing the risk profile or allocation, and it will also pay you back every year in the form of a higher net return.
5. Buy constantly and hold Most people time the market badly. The best time to buy stocks is during the dips. Most investors can't stomach this idea, though. At the end of 2008, when stocks were really cheap, 401(k) investors only had 37 percent allocated to stocks, and at the end of the dot-com bubble in 2002, investors had 40 percent in stocks, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI).
What you should do is invest during good times and bad. You have no idea when bull and bear markets are going to start or stop. So if you can afford to take the risk, take advantage of the compounding over time.
6. Cut back on your employer's stock This could be the most dangerous holding in your portfolio, concentrating a great deal of risk in one company. While you may feel a need to be loyal to your employer, it's not in your best interests. You'd be better off diversifying.
Look at what you sectors you don't have represented in your portfolio. Asset classes that are typically under-represented include real estate investment trusts, inflation-protected bonds and global stocks/bonds. Fortunately, only 8 percent of those surveyed by EBRI hold company stock. If this is still a major holding in your portfolio, make some changes. This also applies to holding single stocks.?

Top Small Business Predictions and Trends 2012: A Closer Look
Some Old and Some New Faces In the Top 5 Predictions and Trends
Even though three of last year?s top five predictions and trends are still around, focus has shifted in new directions.
There are some new, and very compelling, faces in the top 5 this year. And, even though three of last year?s top five are still around, focus has shifted in new directions.
Mobile, continues to dominate the top five predictions and trends however, businesses are starting to move beyond ?being mobile? to strategies and tactics that are enabled by the mobile platform:
SoLoMo (the convergence of social media, local marketing and the mobile platform) continues to be a hot topic of conversation however, there?s a new term that?s buzzing strong, ?Context Marketing?. Essentially, context marketing means delivering the right message to the right person at the right time, the holy grail of marketing. Look for lots of activity in the race to deliver ?personalized? marketing.
The ability to pay, and accept payments, via a mobile device is the key to the ?Mobile Wallet?. Many solutions are already available with many more to come. And, when the mobile wallet is combined with loyalty programs such as points or number of visits, we?re going to see this trend explode.
Having a website that looks good no matter on what device it is viewed is called ?Responsive Design?. At the core, this means having a mobile-ready website, one that looks good on phones and tablets alike. Talking about tablets, the huge number of tablets now out in consumer?s hands is driving designers to use the tablet interface as the standard upon which all content will be designed to be viewed.
Advertising and marketing continues to be a high-priority for small businesses however, there are a couple of new trends to which you should pay attention:
Visual marketing, videos in particular, seem to be the new standard for content delivery online. Videos can be informative and entertaining, something that customers like very much. Look for more videos (both good and bad) and a new focus on YouTube as a marketing platform.
Thanks to the many changes in search engine optimization (SEO) rules during 2012, content marketing will continue to be the key to attracting attention online. Included in that are the subcategories of content filtering, curation and aggregation, all valuable types of content that help customers cut through the noise to find the information they need.
Social media continues to be a hot topic, but it?s almost taken for granted that a small business needs to be there these days. Two interesting new trends include:
The impact of social influencers, those with strong followings on the various social media networks, will continue to grow and can be harnessed by smart marketers who make use of those influencers to reach their followers.
?Social TV? and ?Social News? are two new terms to me, but they?ve both been growing in popularity over the past few years. Social TV is the ability to comment and share during a show?s airtime and social news is the trend where ?citizen reporters? are posting the news that others consume.? Both of these trends have begun to change both the way we are entertained and the way we learn about the world around us.
Business intelligence makes its debut this year with a focus on three important trends:
?Big Data?, that pool of information that businesses collect about each of us, will continue to be mined for any and all insights into consumer buying behavior, wants and needs. 2013 will likely see big data become more accessible to small businesses so that they can start reaping the rewards of analyzing you and me.
More and more small businesses will pay close attention to their website and social media metrics. They will analyze and act on what they find as well, all in an attempt to maximize their return on investment (ROI) which?
?is the final piece of the business intelligence puzzle. Armed with real-time metrics and reports, small businesses will be able to change their courses mid-stream and maximize the return on all their hard work.
Lastly, one of the most interesting new trends arising in 2013 is the increase in?Customer Power. Customers could always make or break a small business, but now they can reach both far and wide. Using review sites, social media updates, forums and more, they can praise you or complain about you and there?s not much you can do about it (aside from slander). The key to success here is twofold:
Give them a safe place to complain by building relationships and communities online. If customers feel that they can be served there, then they will head on over before posting a bad review or bad-mouthing you on Facebook.
And, for those times that bad things do happen, small businesses need to make use of reputation management tools and techniques so that those situations can be quickly (and hopefully happily) resolved.
Other Predictions and Trends
Here are some other interesting predictions and trends that caught my eye:
The Power of Crowds ? yep, the use of crowdfunding, crowdsourcing and crowdsolving will continue to grow in 2013.
Remote Workforce - with the ability to collaborate from anywhere and the growing trend to hire non-permanent workers such as freelancers, 2013 just may be the year of working remotely.
Micro Startups ? with so many folks still out of work, the rise of successful solopreneurs serving niche markets will continue.
Shift Back Towards Paid Content ? a couple of the posts I read argued that this was bound to start happening in 2013. I?ll be interested to see if this model, which did not fare to well a few years ago, will regain a foothold online.
Finally, Some Good Resources and a Bit of Fun
Good roundups to check out:

What?s Hot and What Could Suck About 2013 Communication Trends?
Autodesk, the 3D design company, brings forth some of the hot trends on design technology that they track and in some cases drive
Friday, December 28, 2012
1. Infinite Computing is giving designers the power to design and create almost anything they can imagine. The toolset change of cloud computing-tremendous increases in computer processing, bandwidth, storage, affordability, and ubiquity-when combined with a mindset change that looks for new ways to use this power, adds up to infinite computing, which is profoundly changing the world of design. The old paradigm of design-then-analyze is transforming into one where we can use the cloud to analyze thousands of options in parallel, helping us create the best possible designs.
2. Real CAD: Computers That Actually Aid Design. Human-centered interfaces are making it easier for us to use computers, rather than having to adapt our work and workflows to the way computers are designed. Direct manipulation, ubiquitous sensors (accelerometers, touch screens, etc.), gesture- and voice-recognition paradigms, and even (yes) mind-reading advances are all making computers easier to use, and more valuable than ever before. In October 2012 Autodesk Research Group, University of Toronto and University of Alberta presented their research on the future of touch interaction and the Magic Finger, a proof-of-concept device that allows touch interactions to be carried out on any physical surface. (See Magic Fingervideo)
3. Reality, Digitized is the blurring of the boundaries between the real world and the digital world, which is making it easier to pass data back and forth between these two realms. Reality capture techniques like laser point clouds and photogrammetry enable incredible visualizations, simulations, automatic modeling, augmented reality capabilities, and 3D printing/personal-manufacturing. For example, in the future you'll be able to scan your feet, buy a design from a shoe company, and 3D-print perfect, personalized shoes rather than having to buy whatever happens to be there at the store, or online.
4. The Network Effect: Everyone's a Designer is the idea that a developing set of widely distributed, inexpensive tools for design and fabrication is inspiring design self-reliance (DIY/Do It Yourself Design) as well as design crowdsourcing (DIT/Do It Together Design). This trend is changing the worlds of design and manufacturing, and starting to affect the building industry as well.
According to Chinese gadget news site Tech.163, Apple may be in the process of developing its own smart watch that connects to your Apple devices via Bluetooth. Based on the report, Intel will be working with Apple to create the smart watch, with a 1.5-inch PMOLED display made by RiTDisplay with ITO-coated glass. Apple has long had a small hold on the watch market thanks to its iPod nano, which is easily attached to a wrist band turning it into a full-functioning watch.
High blood pressure, the pressure in the vessels is increased. This increases the risk for stroke, vascular disease and other serious heart condition
Classic blood pressure: pressure cuff on the upper arm, listening to the sound when you release the pressure (Sphygmanometrie and auscultation)
Survey
Normal blood pressure is below 140/90 mmHg. High blood pressure (or hypertension also called arterial hypertension), these measurements are repeated or consistently exceeded.
High blood pressure occurs mainly as primary hypertension, ie high blood pressure ?in itself.? This means that it is not caused by other diseases. Only about ten to fifteen percent of people with specific diseases, such as kidney, adrenal or thyroid glands are the cause (secondary hypertension). With the treatment of these diseases is often regulated, the increased blood pressure.
However, the problem is that high blood pressure often initially makes no complaints. He usually remains undetected once. The health consequences are long term, however severe. Constantly high pressure strain on the heart. It also constricts the blood vessels, accelerating atherosclerosis (arteriosclerosis) and deteriorated to the circulation.
Therefore, high blood pressure is a leading risk factor for stroke and the next Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) and dyslipidemia a major cause of heart disease such as heart attack and heart failure. The risk of disability and death is high blood pressure increased significantly with these complications.
Also, kidney and eye disease are often based on high blood pressure. As a result, it can lead to kidney failure, and vision impairment, worst come to blindness.
Symptoms:
Over time usually occur initially only general symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, palpitations or stumble, nervousness and insomnia. Other symptoms depend on the possible vascular and organ damage. Sudden blurred vision, double vision can also, for example, be a warning sign of a stroke: Immediately go to the doctor!
Diagnosis:
?
epeated pressure measurements can confirm the diagrnosis. In addition, the heart, the metabolism, the kidneys, the eyes may also be checked. Rarely even further investigations are necessary.
?
?
Therapy:
Numerous effective and safe drugs can lower high blood pressure. New is a catheter treatment, deserted in the renal nerves by supplying radio frequency power are (initially only in intractable hypertension, the method is not yet widely implemented). ?Universal medicine? is a healthy lifestyle. It depends mainly on two points: a balanced, not the metabolism onerous, as a low-salt diet and regular exercise. Low stress, moderate alcohol consumption and not smoking do the rest. If you are overweight, you should lose weight permanently. All this helps to keep the blood pressure in the ?Grunen area? ? a good prerequisite to remain cardiovascular fit.
Following our expert Professor Dr. Wolfram Delius answers common questions about high blood pressure. More about the possible causes, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment read in the respective chapters of this guide (see the review above or Chapter bar below).

Modern security cameras are rather limited: if an incident doesn't happen within a pre-defined field of vision, a company won't know what's happening until it's too late. Secom is giving anxious offices a rare solution in what's supposedly the first airborne drone for private security. Its customized Ascending Technologies quadrotor can take to the air if there's a break-in and record what's happening, even in areas that would normally represent blind spots. The automaton can also track moving subjects with a laser sensor and knows enough to keep its distance. Japanese firms wanting Secom's robot sentry will have to wait until after April 2014, when they can rent one at about ¥5,000 ($58) per month; the investment could be worthwhile just to freak out a few would-be burglars.
The soap opera continues, more than a week after the fat lady finished singing.
Quarterback-of-all-trades Tim Tebow has addressed with the media the report that he asked to be omitted from the team?s Wildcat package after being informed that he wouldn?t be the starting quarterback in Week 16.
?I never said, ?Hey, I don?t want to do anything.? I won?t do anything,?? Tebow said Wednesday, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.? ?That wasn?t the talk at all.? He knows that.? And everybody on this team knows that I would never not to do something if I was asked.? That?s what?s disappointing.? People saying, ?Oh, you quit.? Or you didn?t do this.?? That was not it at all.? It was just me asking to get an opportunity to play the position I love, which is quarterback.? It wasn?t me asking out of anything.?
Tebow acknowledges that coach Rex Ryan may have misinterpreted the message, and Tebow says he wishes he would have been ?more clear? when meeting with Ryan.
?I was definitely disappointed and frustrated and I let him know that,? Tebow said.? ?Just asked for an opportunity to play quarterback.? [On Friday, I told him that] I would do anything for this team like I have all year from punt to hands team to catching passes . . . whatever I could do. He appreciated that. He understood. We got a great relationship still.?
And that?s where the logic falls apart.? Tebow wouldn?t have had to tell Ryan that Tebow would do whatever the team needed on Friday.? Ryan would have already known it.
Tebow said he was bothered by the notion that he?s not a good teammate, which was perpetuated by whoever from the Jets organization told multiple reporters that Tebow asked to be left out of the Wildcat package.
?You work your whole life to build a reputation,? Tebow said.
That line, of course, will do nothing to convince those who think that Tebow is concerned more about his image than anything else.? Indeed, it will make the skeptics even more suspicious that there?s a disconnect between Tebow and his ?reputation.?
For that reason, it would make more sense for Tebow to admit that, yes, he?s human.? And, yes, he sometimes has bad days.? And, yes, he was frustrated last week.? And, yes, he made it known that if he?s not the starter he doesn?t want to be the gimmick, either.
Saying that would go a much longer way toward helping his ?reputation? than the clumsy manner in which he has handled the current situation.
You?ve reached a point which you finally decided to take total duty of one?s entire body by working out. Something is always that you may be subjecting your system to intense stress of which it isn accustomed to. As your exercise program advances, so will the strain and loads are. Then you are able to ascertain that youe bettering your physical wellness. This is a truly critical step for some one who?s undertaking an work out regime. Right here are some healthful fitness recommendations to assist you while you take your methods:
Place some time aside to organize your program. It doesn matter no matter whether youe taking your exercise routines from dwelling or from the gymnasium. Everything you will need is an all round approach to consider you by means of. Not every one of the physical actions and endurance will probably be equal in really worth or value. It only the ones with highly effective dynamics and endurance movements that could contribute to cardio fitness. Therefore frequency, duration and intensity really should be sizeable for your progress and development within your education program.
Performing your workouts the moment isn adequate. Endurance exercise routines are to be carried out everyday. Instruction rigorously thrice every week can deliver some outstanding results. As a result it not enough to rigorously do the job out once and imagine that it enough. Whenever you idle all around for a month, youe more than likely to loose around 80% of you body conditioning. Alternatively, should you be desk bound for only just 4 days, you might probably loose 5% to 10% of your respective physique conditioning.
Continue to keep off caffeine drinks and cigarettes. You?re conscious of your results of coffee and cigarettes as they are bound to alter the fee of your pulse any time you are education. It then recommended to let go them if youe seriously critical in your training. Or much better use them about 3 or four hrs ahead of your exercising regimen.
Alcohol, medicines and antibiotics are a no go zone. Equally as we?ve explained about caffeine and cigarettes, these are forbidden important things. Once you workout though intoxicated, it gets to be pointless. It even worse for the reason that it can even bring about your death. Never indulge on your own if youe on antibiotics. Greatest issue is usually to consult your physician ahead of hand.
Consuming the ideal meals for the body. You happen to be aware that vegetables and fruits would be the strategy to go. Physical exercises with no good diet is as superior as practically nothing. You must discover to consume properly, stick to the food plan provided by your dietician that may finally be counter effective.
Actually getting healthful may possibly be a consistent battle to prevent the various distractions of day-to-day lifestyle. Health Supplement Cenaless can help you ingetting to your excellent state.

Becoming successful at a home-based business is not everyone?s good luck, but you should not let that keep you from trying it out. Especially today when there are plenty of computer home-based businesses that can be put in place for a very low cost. All it requires is a low cost, high-speed Internet access, and the motivation to spend a bit of time doing the research. In contrast to a local brick-and-mortar business, which is expensive to set up, and is confined to local customers, your computer business can be world wide. Anybody, in a global context, who can hook up to the Internet, can be a prospect.
I Want To Make Money
There are many ways to get your toes wet in case you are seriously considering a business online. To make a start you most definitely don?t need to be an IT nerd, but being familiar with using a personal computer would be very helpful. Frequently, making money online has nothing to do with your technical skills, but with how much you know about the things you love doing. An individual who is a proficient writer could, as an example, have a web business that does copywritng. Writing could also be done freelance, doing jobs for people who either can?t stand writing or aren?t any good at it. What it comes down to is determining a group of individuals who have a need for something, like say, articles, and providing them with it. Put together a portfolio of your work, do some marketing, and, hey presto! you?ve got a business.
Online auction web sites are another avenue from which a lot of people are making good money. You can acquire items at wholesale value and sell them at retail price, or you may already have products suitable for selling on the web. Online auction websites, such as eBay, do the hard work of bringing the customers to your offers. Your job is first off to figure out a price and list your item, then wait for the sales. As soon as your product is sold, you get sent the funds and then you have the product delivered to the customer.
Lots of erstwhile challenges and obstructions have been done away with by the advance of technology. The advent of the laptop or computer has put ownership of a business within the reach of regular individuals. Not only does the internet have a lot of products to sell, but there is ample information online to show you how to sell them. The very best way to start a business on the internet, is to find someone who has a business model you like, and pattern yours after theirs.
Instead of a fulltime business you could just be after an additional income stream, which the Internet caters for handsomely. Spend a little time on your computer looking for information on starting a web business, and you will find plenty of it. You can only start making money once you get your business started, so don?t delay in doing your research.

The UFC's next title challengers at welterweight and light heavyweight are both fighters who have less-than-deserving records. Nick Diaz will fight Georges St-Pierre for the title at UFC 158, despite the fact he's coming off a loss and a suspension and Johny Hendricks has four wins in a row.
Chael Sonnen is a middleweight, but his ability to smack talk and bring attention to his fights means he will be fighting for the light heavyweight title after coaching against Jon Jones on "The Ultimate Fighter."
The message to other fighters near a title shot is clear -- the UFC wants title fights that tons of people will watch more than it wants ones that are fairly made with only competitive integrity in mind.? Someone like Tim Boetsch, who is fighting Costa Phillippou at UFC 155 this weekend, is a good fighter on a four-fight win streak.
What he is not is a vocal fighter who talks trash. Boetsch talked with MMA Weekly about how he doesn't intend to change his ways just to get a title shot.
?Just because I?m one of those guys who isn?t very vocal about calling people out and saying I deserve such and such an opponent. Michael (Bisping)?s very good at that and he?s made a career out of it, there are talks of him getting a title shot maybe before even I do, so he?s done a good job of promoting himself and that?s one way of doing it,? said Boetsch.
?I think the better way to do it, or the way I prefer to do it, is to step in the cage and beat people up, and eventually they?re going to have to give me a title shot because I?m going to run out of people to beat up.?
It seems like a better plan, but it didn't work for Hendricks.
The mere word cholesterol gives many goose bumps. We have been indoctrinated since the well-known Framingham Studies that the higher the blood cholesterol level, the higher the risk of heart disease 1-3. However, much has been discovered in medical research since then. Today there is compelling evidence showing that strict reliance on the traditional cholesterol test that is routinely run in the clinic can falsely tell you and your doctor that you?re fine, even if you aren?t. Here you will find out what to look for?
The traditional cholesterol test
Unless you have a good doctor who keep tabs on medical research, when you do your blood work (which I hope you do regularly as a preventive measure), the traditional cholesterol test that?s part of a regular health check will only give you information on the following measurements:
- Total cholesterol level - LDL (low-density lipoprotein, the ?bad? cholesterol) - HDL (high-density lipoprotein, the ?good? cholesterol) - Triglycerides (aka blood fats)
This traditional cholesterol test is also called the standard lipid panel. Lipid is a catch-all term for fats and cholesterol, which are characterized by their water insolubility. Hence the need for lipoproteins, which are molecules that transport cholesterol and fats in the blood. Blood cholesterol gets its name based on what particle that carries it in the blood stream. Even though you often hear discussions about bad and good cholesterol, the cholesterol in LDL and HDL is the same; the difference lies in their respective transport molecule (ie, the lipoproteins).
Doctors have historically blindly relied on this standard lipid panel (traditional cholesterol test) to assess their patients? risk of cardiovascular disease and prescribe cholesterol lowering drugs. However, there are serious limitations in relying solely on the standard cholesterol panel. Most importantly, it can identify only about 40% of people at risk for coronary heart disease 4, and the extent of cardiovascular disease varies greatly among individuals with similar ?standard? cholesterol levels 5,6. Over the past decade, an immense amount of scientific research has shown that within each cholesterol class (LDL, HDL etc) distinct subclasses exist, that confer different degrees of cardiovascular disease risk 7. For example, it is the small LDL particles that are dangerous, and not so much the larger LDL particles 8-10. This discovery has given rise to the ?pattern A? and ?pattern B? notations (see below) and explains why a simple total LDL level test doesn?t tell you the full story and can be misleading.
VAP ? the next generation of cholesterol testing
The VAP (Vertical Auto Profile) test provides this valuable information on cholesterol/lipoprotein subclasses. The expanded information from the VAP test includes:
- More accurate, direct measurement of LDL:
The standard lipid panel only indirectly gets your LDL level by a calculation, which is fraught with questionable assumptions 11-13.
- Measurement of LDL particle number and density:
This is important because small, dense and numerous LDL particles (?Pattern B?, see below) cause a 3-fold increase in risk of a heart attack independent of the total LDL level 9,14.
- Measurement of lipoprotein subclasses and related molecules.
This includes, LDL1, LDL2 and LDL3, HDL2 and HDL3, intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL), very-low-density lipoproteins (VLDL1, VLDL2, VLDL3), and lipoprotein(a) [ Lp(a) ], a particularly dangerous lipoprotein that can lead to heart attacks and strokes. The VAP test will also give your apo-B level; apo-B is a molecule that is attached to each LDL particle, and gives another dimension of your LDL particle number.
People who test ?normal? in a standard cholesterol test often are found to be at risk for heart disease after taking the VAP test. This is because individuals with the same LDL level may have high or low numbers of LDL particles. Because LDL particle number is an independent and more sensitive indicator of risk than LDL (or non-HDL), these individuals will differ in terms of heart disease and cardiovascular risk, despite having same LDL level 8,15. This is clearly of utmost importance, for both prevention and treatment.
Nail down you LDL pattern ? are you an A or B?
When you get your VAP results, all the numbers can make you dizzy. No worry, the main thing to find out is your LDL pattern. The LDL patterns A and B refer to the size of LDL cholesterol particles in the blood.
Persons with LDL pattern A have large, buoyant LDL particles. Individuals with pattern A are more likely to have normal blood levels of HD
L and triglycerides. Pattern A is usually not associated with cardiovascular risk.
Persons with LDL pattern B have predominantly small and dense LDL particles. Pattern B is frequently associated with low HDL levels, elevated triglyceride levels, and high blood sugar levels and risk for type II diabetes. Individuals with pattern B are also more likely to develop high blood triglyceride levels after a fat-rich meal (a medical condition called postprandial hyperlipidemia).
Why is this important?
Smaller LDL particles are more dangerous than the larger ones because they can more easily squeeze through the endothelium (a single cell layer that lines blood vessels) and clog up the artery walls. Smaller LDL particles also are more easily oxidized, and oxidized LDL is a significant contributor to the formation of plaques in the arteries.
More and more scientific medical research is showing that the total LDL level is not the best indicator of heart disease risk that has been attributed to LDL. The reason for this is that the risk correlates more strongly with the number of circulating atherogenic LDL particles (as can be found out in a VAP test) rather than the quantity of cholesterol carried by those particles (as shown in a standard lipid panel test) 16. If this is over your head, don?t fret; just make sure you?re a pattern A. And that?s easy because the VAP results page tell you right upfront what pattern you are, so yo u don?t have to do any calculations.
As you can see in the graphic nearby, the LDL fraction is further split into four parts; small LDL particles, large LDL particle, Lp(a) and IDL. Other than telling you whether you are an A or B (ie, whether you have a predominance of dangerous small or less dangerous large LDL particles), the VAP test report also informs you on your standing with these other variables.
Where can I get the VAP test?
If you don?t have health insurance, or if your insurance doesn?t cover it, you can easily order a VAP test for $90 from Life Extension
Here?s an explanation of all the variables you find on the VAP test
Here you can check out a sample VAP report
Other similar advance blood lipid tests
In this article I?ve covered the VAP test from Atherotec, www.thevaptest.com, which is based on the ultracentrifugation technique.
There are also other, similar advanced lipid test available. The most notable is the one based on the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique from LipoScience, www.lipoprofile.com.
Then we have a gradient gel electrophoresis based test, from Berkeley HeartLab, www.bhlinc.com, and another one based on the ion mobility technique. Since this is an intense research area, we can expect to hear about new advanced lipid test in the near future.
The point I want to make is that, unless your doctor order a specific advanced lipid test for you (buy him/her flowers if that?s the case!), pick one and stick to it. The reason being that the different tests can give you different readings. Thus, you cannot directly compare your VAP reading with an NMR reading if you do both.
You should to do your advanced lipid testing not just once, but regularly to monitor your health status, and effectiveness of your diet and exercise program etc. As of this writing, the VAP test is cheapest.
Who should you care about getting the advanced VAP cholesterol test?
Everybody! Prevention is key for healthy longevity. The ?good? thing with cardiovascular disease risk factors is that if you detect them at an early stage, you can easily fix them with diet and exercise, and thereby avoid becoming a victim for heart disease, which is still the number one killer.
If your standard lipid panel shows that you have a high triglyceride level, and/or a low HDL level, you definitely should get the VAP test, since a high ratio of triglyceride/HDL is often accompanied by small LDL particle sizes 17,18. Another simple way to tell is you could be at risk is if you have a belly fat. Having a belly is not just an esthetic issue, it is also a great health risk that should be taken very seriously.
Another important indication that you should have a VAP test, is if are on statins. I am not going to get into the evils of statins here. For the purpose of this article, I just want to inform you that they are the most lucrative drug ever developed by the pharma industry, and unfortunately the first-line drug prescribed by cardiologist to treat high LDL levels. The reason you have to do a VAP test if you are on statins is that statis lower your overall LDL level more than they lower your LDL particle number 19. Thus, statins can lower your LDL level to the normal range, but still leave you with lots of deleterious LDL particles, and thereby falsely give an indication of a successful treatment. Therefore, if your doctor is only monitoring your overall LDL level while prescribing you statins, get another doctor.
Also, if you are eating loads of carbs, you definitely should have a VAP done, because it is well-documented that a high-carb diet has detrimental effects on cardiovascular risk factors. Among other things, eating lots of carbs increases both your blood fats (triglycerides) and your number of small deleterious LDL particles 20-24.
In addition, certain health promoting supplements can actually elevate your total and LDL cholesterol levels, while beneficially affect your LDL particle distribution. Notable examples are fish oil and algae oil supplements 25,26. By getting your VAP test you have your back covered if you start taking fish oil and your doctor starts pulling his hair because your LDL level has increased.
While financial investments can be risky, investing in your own health is totally risk free. And on top of that it gives you an invaluable return; health, happiness and longevity!
